Roadmap

The road ahead.

Where MachineCraft is headed — organized by theme, not by date. We publish the direction we’re committed to and keep it honest: shipped is shipped, beta is beta, and everything ahead is subject to what we learn.

Today

Where things stand right now.

Two engines, one design surface. The Workflow Engine is in production; the Agent Engine is in active beta — and we label it that way everywhere.

Workflow Engine

SHIPPED

Structured, visual automation with code extensibility — in production and building real workflows today.

Agent Engine

BETA

Autonomous execution with human-in-the-loop control. In active beta — powerful, and still maturing.

The plan

What we’re building next.

Five themes, in the order we’re working them. The further out a phase sits, the more its shape can change — that’s the nature of an honest roadmap.

  1. Shipped

    Foundation

    A secure, auditable core.

The enterprise groundwork everything else builds on — encrypted secrets, real authentication, and an audit trail for every action.

    • Encrypted credential management across 18 model and tool providers
    • Email authentication, verification, and password reset
    • Action-level audit logging — SOC 2 Type I & ISO 27001 aligned
    • Security hardening — auth rate limiting, token hashing, session invalidation
    • AI-assisted component generation from natural language

  2. Now

    Collaboration

    Build together, share safely.

Bring teams into MachineCraft — shared workspaces, granular permissions, and versioned workflows you can fork and reuse.

    • Organizations, teams, and departments
    • Workflow sharing with granular, role-based permissions
    • Workflow versioning and change history
    • Fork, clone, and an internal template library
  3. Next

    Access & Identity

    Enterprise-grade access control.

The identity and access layer regulated teams need before rolling out widely — fine-grained roles, single sign-on, and notifications that reach people where they work.

    • Comprehensive role-based access control (RBAC)
    • Single sign-on (SAML / OIDC) and two-factor authentication
    • Notifications across in-app, email, and chat
  4. Later

    Plans & Marketplace

Flexible plans and a component ecosystem.

As the beta matures: subscription plans that match how teams actually adopt MachineCraft, deeper analytics, and a marketplace for sharing components.

    • Subscription plans with usage tracking
    • Advanced analytics and reporting
    • A component marketplace for sharing and discovery
  5. Later

    Scale & Ecosystem

    Real-time, connected, everywhere.

The longer-horizon work — real-time collaboration, an open API and SDKs, and AI that helps you build, running wherever you need it.

    • Real-time multiplayer editing and presence
    • A public API and client SDKs (Python, JavaScript, Go)
    • AI-assisted workflow creation and optimization
    • Multi-region deployment
How to read this

Direction, not dates.

We don’t publish hard ship dates or internal targets, and we won’t dress a plan up as a promise. These themes are where we’re genuinely headed — built on a proven open-source foundation, shipped in the order that serves regulated teams first, and updated as we learn.

SHIPPEDBETASOON

On the product, every capability is tagged SHIPPED, BETA, or SOON — never overstated. The board above is the order we’re working in; the changelog is the record of what’s already landed.
